Bookings, refunds and other fees policies
What you need to book your accommodation and stay there
Through this website, you can book directly without any intermediaries, avoiding the commission fees charged by the various online travel agencies (OTAs) on which the two apartments are listed. If, for reasons of trust and security, you prefer to book via an external platform, I will direct you to the page of the apartment you are interested in, on your chosen external platform (from among those on which my two properties are listed).
After requesting and receiving a quote and confirmation that the dates chosen for your stay in one or both properties are available, in order to make a direct booking and ensure that the dates you require are reserved for you, you will be asked to make a bank transfer to the property owner as a DEPOSIT, covering at least 30% OF THE QUOTED COST; you will receive by email a statement signed by the owner, indicating their personal details, the property chosen for your stay, its full address and all the booking details (check-in and check-out dates, number of guests); the remaining balance will be paid in cash upon your arrival at the property, after completing and signing the holiday rental agreement.
To book, you must be 18 years of age or older, and you will be asked to provide a copy of a valid ID (for the person making the reservation, not all guests) to verify your age.
All guests staying at the facilities will be required, upon arrival, to provide a valid identity document (passport, identity card, or driving license are acceptable). This document is required to comply with national and local regulations, which require the personal details of each guest staying at accommodation facilities to be communicated to the local police headquarters and their presence recorded on the Tourist Tax portal.
The regularity of the apartments can be checked by visiting the page bdsr.ministeroturismo.gov.it - the Italian Ministry of Tourism’s official BDSR (Accommodation Facilities Database) portal - and entering the CIN (National Identification Code) for each property:

Refund policies
If you decide to CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION, you will be entitled to a FULL REFUND of your deposit by submitting a request at least15 DAYS BEFORE YOUR CHECK-IN DATE. After this period, refunds will no longer be granted.
Costs excluded from the quote
To encourage guests to consume responsibly and respectfully, and to make the rental business more sustainable, each property includes a daily electricity consumption of 12 kWh in the booking cost. This is considered an acceptable consumption for a standard-sized apartment without any high-energy appliances. If the 12 kWh/day limit is significantly exceeded, a refund will be requested at a cost of €0.50 per kWh. To this end, the meter will be read in your presence, once at check-in and once at check-out. A simple subtraction will give us the total kWh consumed during your stay.
Tourist tax
Guests staying in the municipality of Pozzallo are subject to a tourist tax of €1 per person, per night. The tax is waived after the 10th night, and children under 14 are exempt. The tax will be collected upon arrival at the property.
Accessibility
The apartments listed on this site do NOT have the necessary features to be considered accessible for people with special needs, mainly because both have steps at the entrance.
